I think the best way to describe my experience in Japan would be as if fell into a deep sleep and woke up on another earth. A place that was familiar and yet vastly unknown to me. The cars were slightly smaller, miniaturized versions of the American muscle, everything from transportation to check out lines felt more efficient, people seemed distant and at the same time more friendly. Crowded walkways were the same volume as your noise free train ride and I have yet to see a more clean street, ones that you could literally eat off of. What I wanted to gain from this experience was a sense of wonder and evolution of my thought process but what I left with was a sense of appreciation at how wonderful this world is and how much closer we are to each other than we think.
